India’s External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar held important talks with Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan in Abu Dhabi during his first visit to the Gulf region since the ongoing West Asia conflict began.
The meeting focused on the current situation in West Asia and its global impact. Jaishankar described the discussion as productive, saying both countries shared their views on recent developments and regional challenges.
He also thanked the United Arab Emirates government for taking care of the Indian community living there. Jaishankar expressed confidence that the strong partnership between India and the UAE will continue to grow even during difficult times.

India and the UAE have remained in close contact throughout the crisis. Leaders and foreign ministers from both sides have been regularly communicating, showing strong coordination and cooperation between the two nations.
During his visit, Jaishankar also met members of the Indian community in the UAE. He assured them that the Indian government is committed to their safety and security. He appreciated their contribution to the UAE’s development and thanked the UAE government for its continued support.
Before arriving in Abu Dhabi, Jaishankar was in Mauritius, where he attended the 9th Indian Ocean Conference. His Gulf visit comes at a crucial time, as tensions in West Asia remain high and diplomatic efforts continue across the region.
