According to the India Meteorological Department (IMD), the region is expected to witness light rain accompanied by thunderstorms and strong winds over the next few hours and days, offering temporary relief from rising temperatures.
The sudden change in weather is linked to atmospheric disturbances affecting north India, which are causing cloudy skies, scattered showers, and gusty winds across the region. Weather experts say the shift is typical during this time of year when seasonal transitions bring unstable conditions.
Rain and Gusty Winds Expected in Delhi-NCR
IMD has forecast light rain or drizzle along with thunderstorms in several parts of Delhi and nearby areas such as Noida, Gurugram, and Ghaziabad. Wind speeds during this period may reach 30–40 km/h and occasionally gust up to 50 km/h, which could make the weather feel cooler than usual.
