Young cricket sensation Vaibhav Sooryavanshi is quickly becoming one of the biggest talking points of Indian Premier League 2026. The 15-year-old delivered another breathtaking performance, leading Rajasthan Royals to a convincing six-wicket win over Royal Challengers Bengaluru at the Baraspara Cricket Stadium.
A Stunning Knock at Just 15
Sooryavanshi smashed an incredible 78 runs off just 26 balls, showing no fear against experienced bowlers like Josh Hazlewood and Bhuvneshwar Kumar. His innings included 8 fours and 7 sixes, helping Rajasthan Royals chase down a big target of 202 runs in just 18 overs.
With this win, Rajasthan Royals remained unbeaten this season and moved to the top of the IPL points table.

During the match, Sooryavanshi impressed everyone by attacking bowlers much older than him with confidence and power. However, despite his match-winning innings, the young batter was not fully satisfied.
He was dismissed after being caught by Virat Kohli off Krunal Pandya, and his reaction showed how much he values staying longer at the crease.
After winning the Player of the Match award, Sooryavanshi explained that he always aims to contribute more runs for his team.
He said that if he stays longer, he can help finish matches earlier or add extra runs while setting a target. That’s why he feels disappointed when he gets out playing a loose shot.
Sooryavanshi is currently the top scorer of the season, leading the Orange Cap race with:
- 200 runs in 4 matches
- Average of 50
- Strike rate of 266.67
- Most sixes (18)
His fearless batting style and consistency are already making people talk about his potential international debut.
