The popular Indian sitcom, “Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah,” has reportedly found its new Dayaben.
After years of speculation about Disha Vakani’s return, sources confirm she will not be reprising the iconic role. Mock shoots with the new actress have begun on the show’s sets, signaling a significant development for fans. This news ends the long-standing wait and marks a new chapter for the beloved character.
However, Daya ben and her dialogues have been the most loved. Disha Vakani has made us all love Daya. But, she went on a maternity leave in 2018 and never returned. It was being reported that she and her husband have been asking for more salary. Reports suggested that she has decided not to return.
A few days ago, even producer Asit Kumarr Modi spoke to News 18 ShowSha that Disha Vakani is unlikely to return to the show as she is focused on her family and kids. He said that he is still trying and hopes that some miracle will happen and she will be back.
A source close to the portal said, “Yes, it is right. Asit ji had been looking for a new Dayaben, and recently, one of the auditions impressed him a lot. Mock shoots with the actress are underway. It’s been around a week that she has been here, shooting with us.”
