Actress Priyanka Chahar Choudhary, set to star in the upcoming season of Naagin 7 (premiering December 27, 2025), has addressed recent social media rumors alleging she underwent cosmetic surgery.
Health Issues, Not Surgery
Priyanka clarified that changes in her appearance were due to health complications rather than cosmetic enhancements. She revealed that in 2024, she was on a heavy dosage of antibiotics to treat a medical condition. This medication led to side effects such as noticeable weight loss and facial bloating, which sparked false speculation about her going under the knife.

“My Face, My Choice“
Addressing the scrutiny, she expressed frustration with how minor changes in a public figure’s look—such as makeup or contact lenses—are often blown out of proportion. She questioned why cosmetic procedures are stigmatized, stating, “My face, my choice.” She emphasized that even if someone chooses to enhance their appearance, it is a personal decision that shouldn’t be problematic for others.
Call for Sensitivity
Priyanka urged people to be more empathetic, noting that constant scrutiny can be damaging, especially when someone is dealing with personal health struggles. She proposed a “10-second rule” for comments on appearance: point out only things that can be fixed quickly (like messy hair), but refrain from commenting on unchangeable traits like body shape or facial features.
Priyanka hopes the focus will now shift back to her work as she prepares for her new role in Naagin 7.
