New Delhi: A day before the National Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test (NEET)-UG, Chief Minister Rekha Gupta extended her best wishes to students and their families. She said the Delhi Government has taken steps to ensure that no family faces unnecessary inconvenience related to transportation, extreme heat, or long waiting times on the day of the examination.
She said that NEET candidates will be able to travel free of charge on DTC buses, and that special cooling zones have been arranged outside all 97 examination centres for parents and family members. Emphasizing that it is the government’s responsibility to respect every student’s aspirations and every parent’s hopes, she added that the entire city is wishing success to all candidates appearing for the examination the following day.
She said that this is the first time special waiting facilities have been arranged with the comfort and convenience of not only the students appearing for the examination but also their parents and family members in mind.
She noted that while candidates remain inside the examination halls, the anxiety, heat, and discomfort experienced by parents waiting outside for several hours often go unnoticed. Recognizing this human aspect, the Delhi Government has established cooling zones around the examination centres to provide a more comfortable environment for families during the waiting period.

The Chief Minister also announced that all NEET candidates will be allowed to travel free of charge on DTC buses on June 21. To avail themselves of this facility, they simply need to present their valid NEET admit card to the bus conductor.
She said the government’s aim is to ensure that students face no transportation-related difficulties on the day of the examination, enabling them to reach their centres on time and take the test with complete focus and confidence.
She said that the time, effort, and future of the country’s youth are of immense importance. The Delhi Government remains committed to providing students with every possible support and convenience throughout their education and during competitive examinations. She added that when parents feel comfortable and reassured, it positively influences students as well, helping them approach the examination with greater confidence.
Extending her best wishes to all NEET aspirants, Chief Minister Rekha Gupta said that the examination is an opportunity for students to showcase their hard work, dedication, and determination, and she wished them success in achieving their goals.
